Jonathan worked for Dr. Marilyn Brown as a Graduate Research Assistant on the Drawdown Georgia Research Project, a collaborative effort by multiple universities across Georgia to identify and activate the most promising climate change solutions in the state.
He mainly focused on the Carbon Emissions Tracking Dashboard which will allow users to see estimates of CO2 emissions at the county level each month. Using a combination of modeling and allocation of data from the EIA, EPA, NLCD, and RECS/MECS/CBECS, this work represents some of the most ambitious carbon emissions work to date in terms of spatial scale and timeframe of updates!
